Student Exchange Programs
Erasmus+ is a European Union grant program covering education, youth, and sport, implemented between 2021 and 2027. The aim of the Erasmus+ Program is to equip individuals with new skills, strengthen their personal development, and increase their employment opportunities, regardless of age or educational background. Similarly, the European Solidarity Program (ESC), implemented during the same period, is an EU initiative that aims to meet societal needs by encouraging the personal, educational, social, civic, and professional development of young people, creating opportunities for them to volunteer, work, or network in projects that benefit society in their own countries or abroad.
The Turkish National Agency, operating as the relevant institution of the Presidency of European Union Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is responsible for the implementation of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Program in Turkey. It receives, evaluates, and concludes project applications, allocates grants to eligible applicants, and monitors and supervises the grants.
In this context, it is the sole authorized public institution responsible for the implementation of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Program in Turkey and for ensuring the necessary coordination with the European Commission. In this context, our higher education institutions are one of our main beneficiaries in the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Programs.
